Community Partnerships with RePublic Schools in Nashville

RePublic Schools in Nashville are proud to partner with organizations that share our commitment to empowering students and fostering community growth. These partnerships offer valuable experiences and resources beyond academics, equipping scholars with personal and professional development skills.

One remarkable collaboration is with Royal Table, founded by Amir and Flarrie Mahamed. Through the Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship program at RePublic High School (RHS), students receive practical training in entrepreneurship, job readiness, and financial planning. They also gain essential skills in problem-solving, workforce development, and credit management. This semester, ten scholars are using what they’ve learned to create fully funded small businesses. This achievement demonstrates Royal Table’s success in inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Additionally, CounterPunch Youth Academy, under the guidance of Tramaine Crook, has recently partnered with Nashville Prep (NP), Liberty Collegiate Academy (LCA), and RePublic High School to offer a mentorship program focused on non-contact boxing. This unique program empowers youth by promoting mental resilience, physical wellness, and compassionate leadership. As the program begins this month, students will have access to transformative lessons that support their growth inside and outside the classroom.

Freedom Coalition for Charters, led by David Morgan, is also a critical partner in building advocacy among RePublic parents. This November, they’ll host workshops on education policy and advocacy, helping parents understand and influence laws affecting charter schools. Preston Taylor Ministries and Capacity Church further enhance student support by offering programs like the Lunch Buddy mentorship at NP and a food pantry at RHS. At the same time, Crossroads Community Church strengthens recruitment efforts and staff morale through community service.

Dual-Credit Opportunities

In addition to these efforts, partnerships with organizations such as the Urban League and Tennessee State University provide leadership development and dual-credit opportunities. Together, these collaborations help RePublic Schools create a strong support system for Nashville’s future leaders.
