WHO IS REPUBLIC SCHOOLS?
Serving more than 3,100 scholars in seven schools across two cities; Jackson, Mississippi and Nashville, Tennessee, RePublic Schools is the only school network solely dedicated to reimagining public education in the South. This means that we maintain high standards and constantly seek to improve to ensure that our scholars, the majority of whom come from underserved communities, receive the education they deserve and are on the path to success.

Our Strategic Plan
Our 2025-2030 strategic plan is a bold roadmap for scholars and staff success, co‑created by our school community. It centers on four core priorities: sacred systems that build belonging across every school; high‑quality instruction in every content area and grade level; preparing scholars as change agents ready to navigate an increasingly complex world; and empowering staff through clear goals and intentional development. Together, we’re creating the conditions for every scholar to thrive—and every adult to lead.
WHAT IS A
CHARTER SCHOOL?
FREE & INDEPENDENT
A charter school is a free public school that is run independently of the school district. Charter schools are given more flexibility in their finances, personnel, scheduling, curriculum, and instruction than a traditional district school.
OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS
Charter schools are open to all students in the designated geographic area regardless of race, income, special needs, or previous academic performance. In Tennessee, eligible students must live in Davidson County, and in Mississippi, eligible students must live in a C, D, or an F rated school district.
ALL THE EXTRAS OF A TRADITIONAL SCHOOL
All our middle and high schools feature sports for boys and girls, and all seven of our schools host after-school clubs including robotics, dance, and service clubs. Our schools also host special events including dances, family activities, and celebrations including Hispanic Heritage Month and Black History Month.
