Our kids frequently don't have access to the same music programs that kids do in more affluent areas.
So it's awesome to see our kids take Piano Lab. I have 60 kids who can now read music at a proficient level. We just had a note identification test, and 90% scored an A.
Music is able to transcend racial barriers. People don't worry about what color music is. They don't worry about its sexual orientation. Everyone is able to participate, no matter your race, sexual orientation, or religion. That makes it a beautiful and powerful tool.
