We’re reimagining public education in the South by preparing kids for college and teaching them to code.

THE SOUTH IS HOME TO
HISTORIC INEQUALITY.

THE LOWEST ODDS

A child in the Deep South has the lowest odds of going from the bottom of the income distribution to the top.

ELEVEN PERCENT

Only 11% of Nashville students scored at least a 21 on the ACT last year — which means 89% are not prepared for college.

51ST OF 51

Mississippi is ranked last in the country for academic achievement.

NOT ONLY ARE WE FALLING BEHIND ON THE SKILLS OF TODAY, we’re not teaching the skills of tomorrow.

1 MILLION UNFILLED JOBS

By 2020, there will be an estimated 1,000,000 unfilled jobs in Computer Science.

ONLY 48

Only 48 Black and Latino students took AP Computer Science in Tennessee
in 2016.

$70,000 AVERAGE SALARY

Graduates with a Computer Science degree earn an average salary of $70,000 and earn 40% more than the average college graduate.

Over the next 15 years, historic impediments to equality will be dismantled by people who solve problems using technology.

Our schools will be the catalyst for this colossal change.

We lead public charter schools that reimagine public education in the South.

We don’t just help our scholars catch up — we give them a competitive advantage by teaching them the skills of tomorrow.

Each scholar will graduate from college An excellent college-preparatory education will set students up for success in whatever life path they choose.

Each scholar will learn to code David beats Goliath by changing the rules of the game. We’re going to equip the most disadvantaged students with a metaphorical slingshot — the ability to code.

We are shattering odds for kids in the south.

We lead some of the highest performing public schools in Tennessee.

Liberty Collegiate was one of only nine schools in Tennessee to rank in the top 5% for student growth AND performance in 2015.

To date, Liberty Collegiate and Nashville Prep are the only two charter schools in Tennessee history to earn this dual distinction.
